Having practiced law for over 30 years, 20 of which in the Texas Hill Country, Billy Walker is Board Certified in Farm and Ranch Real Estate Law. Billy concentrates on transactions real estate representation and preparation of all real estate documents. His grasp of local real estate developments is enhanced by his role as Title Examiner for Moore Title Company, an independent title insurance agent. A graduate of Bandera Public Schools, Billy Walker graduated from Texas State University in 1974 and the University of Houston Law Center in 1977. He was licensed by the State Bar of Texas to practice law in 1978. Billy worked in corporate law for several oil and gas companies, including Basin, Inc. and Forest Oil Corporation in Midland, Texas and Denver, Colorado. He was recognized and certified for special competence in the field of oil gas and mineral law by the State Bar of Texas in 1986. After leaving corporate law, Billy engaged in the general practice of law in Bandera, Texas. Since 1989, Billy Walker has concentrated his practice on real estate law, wills, probate, administration, inheritance issues, guardianship and business entity formation, such as partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies. As Owner and President of Moore Title Company since 1993, Billy Walker has examined title to all property insured by the company. Billy's firm prepares deeds, notes, deed of trust and all other legal instruments necessary to close a real estate sale or loan. He also provides transactional representation in real estate sales. Being a fourth-generation Bandera County resident, Billy is familiar with the County's workings and the people who make it work. A dedicated leader in civic organizations, Billy Walker is past president of the Bandera Public Library, past president of the Bandera Boys and Girls Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He serves as a director of the Hill Country Land Trust and previously served as a Director on the Boards of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Cowboy Capital Rodeo Association and the Frontier Times Museum.
